Help us to raise funds to take 80 young people to Normandy in 2023
Guess the scores of all the Group Stage matches of the 2022 Football World Cup, as well as the eventual winner and be in with a chance of winning a cash prize! Your £3 entry will be split, partly supporting the subsidising of the trip for our Beavers, Cubs & Scouts with the other third going towards the competition prizes. The prize pot will be split 50:25:25 between first, second and last place. Points will be awarded for correct score (eg 3-0), correct result (win / lose / draw) and correct winner of the world cup.

Why a trip abroad?
A trip abroad brings unique experiences that we cannot get through a regular pack night or even from a camp in the UK. This trip specifically gives the young people a chance to experience a foreign culture and to recognise and celebrate the similarities and differences of young people in a different country. It gives us the opportunity to try different foods, hear a different language and take in the local culture and architecture.
We are still finalising the logistics and itinerary, which will include visits to D-Day beaches & cemeteries to pay our respects as well as baking French bread in a boulangerie. Whatever is added to this, it promises to be an educational, fun filled trip – the experiences of which I am sure will stay with the children for many years to come.
